About Aki Slacklines
Stefan is one of the pioneers in European slacklining. In addition to first walks of numerous highlines since 2006, especially in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, Stefan has also had a significant influence on longlining sport ("world records" in 2009 and 2010). Stefan's mountaineering roots lie in Saxon Switzerland, where he began traditional rock climbing in 1992.
Stefan successfully completed his studies in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden in 2004. He then gained important experience as a project manager in the aviation industry.
Many important slackline innovations such as the Lynx and Zilla weblock series, the Sonic and Core webbings, the AirBow aluminum shackle and the Sensei / Ninja / Ronin pulleys were conceived and brought to product maturity by Stefan. He developed numerous innovative tensioning, fastening and safety concepts for the realization of highline projects in both the rock world and in an urban context.
