The Raptor is the new slackline webbing locker with an ultra light weight (133 g), a large breaking strength (68 kN) and a wide range of connection options with a focus on textile elements, especially soft shackles.
The structure of the Raptor was optimized using complex FEA calculations. The integral design, made of high-strength aerospace aluminum using state-of-the-art CNC milling, allows a leading breaking strength to weight ratio.
The Raptor is intended as a versatile lightweight weblock for alpine projects and allows the use of a wide range of rigging equipment, from soft shackles, ropes, slings to shackles and screw links. The Aki Soft Release Light can also be attached directly to the Raptor.
The main diverter is equipped with an Evolve geometry with a starting diameter of 30 mm (which ensures high strength retention of webbing) and milled hollow inside so that the lug can be used as a connection for rigging tasks during tensioning or release of the line.
Although the Raptor is very light, it has a very large side plate guidance (over 20 mm), which is an additional safety plus in today's low-tension slacklining.
